Val (they/them) is a queer undocumented migrant from Lima, Perú. They migrated to the U.S. at the age of sixteen and have been organizing, advocating and supporting migrant communities throughout their time in the United States.
Val is honored to have been a part of the 2017-18 DreamSF Cohort and to now be the DreamSF Program Coordinator. As someone whose professional and personal life was deeply impacted by this program, Val aspires to continue to foster spaces where migrants can feel safe and at home with one another.
In their free time, you can find Val going on long walks with their dog and binge watching shows and movies.
