Renz Earl J Tuazon

This is some text inside of a div block.

Renz Earl J. Tuazon is a freshman at San Francisco State University, pursuing a career in nursing. Renz was born in Bulacan, Philippines and moved to the U.S with his parents at the age of 10 with the goal of pursuing better opportunities. He is the first in his family to attend college in the U.S. and is embarking on a journey of higher education. Renz believes that education is the only thing that cannot be taken away, and he will use it to build a better future for himself and his family.

As an aspiring nurse, Renz is motivated to give back to the immigrant community by joining and improving the healthcare field, in order to better provide great care for those in need. His interest in the medical field started when he came to the U.S. Throughout their lives in the U.S., Renz’s parents worked as caretakers of the elderly, and seeing their passion and hard work in giving great care to others inspired him to do the same. He also believes in the importance of giving valuable and high-quality healthcare for everyone, regardless of their background or income status.

As a DreamSF Fellow, Renz is taking on the role of Communication Specialist Fellow at Dreamers in Tech. Dreamers in Tech is a network comprised of undocumented, DACAmented, allies, and tech enthusiasts committed to increasing diversity and inclusion in the tech industry. DIT focuses on community, empowerment, and representation to develop a pipeline that provides opportunities to break into tech, mitigate imposter syndrome, and help individuals own their narrative. Renz works directly with the director on creating email campaigns, sending out announcements, and promoting the mission of Dreamers in Tech on different digital platforms.

In his free time, Renz enjoys hanging out with his friends and going on adventures around San Francisco and other cities. He also enjoys creating memories by taking pictures of him and his friends. Renz also dedicates his time to his family by attending church every Sunday and volunteering as an Altar Server.
